Bring your special horse’s essence to life with a custom portrait of your horse, painted in my style. See examples of past commissions here:
Once you decide to have a custom portrait made, I will ask you for a variety of photos of your horse. High quality photos, with good lighting and focus, work best. Pick photos that show a nice expression and also any that show your horse’s personality. I will ask you for any special words or phrases that are meaningful to you and any symbols that you might like included. Also, what your favorite colors are and any colors you dislike.
All this information will be combined into a one-of-a-kind portrait of your horse that will be ready for framing.
Your painting will be on heavy watercolor paper and done with a variety of media, including, acrylic paint, gesso, collage, and various water media. Because I use water media to get my bright, highly saturated colors, I suggest that you frame your painting under UV glass and hang it someplace that is away from direct sunlight to protect it from fading. Another option is to order an archival giclee that can be framed and displayed and preserve the original in an archival photo album.
